Do cows have small horns?!!?

Please forgive my ignorance! I was charged at by a black cow/bull with small horns, Im trying to distinguish between the two! Before you say it i didnt have time to inspect the obvious features!!!

yes cows have small horns,if it was all black it probably was a angus cow/bull/steer.there are all breeds of cattle some have no horns(what we call muleies)short horn and long horn and they all will hurt you.cows and bulls arent these sweet cud chewing cows that a lot of people and organisations lead you to believe.cattle are territorial and if you enter their space they will either challenge you or run away.a good rule of thumb is if you are in their pasture or stall dont turn away from them and watch them,if they stop what they are doing and stand still watching you this is the first warning sign,the second is when they drop their head,this is a sign of aggression and you may want to look for the nearest exit,the third will be the charge and that is when it hurts.remember dont get in a pasture or corral with a cow with calves,a bull,or milk cows,without a exit and always be aware of their body language.

Reply:Yeah cows have horns, I don't think they get as big as a bulls but they're still there.
Reply:If you have to ask and not sure what it was, I would say that it was a cow that charged you. If it was a bull, there would be no question of what it was. Unless the bull was very young you could tell by the entire build of the body...the huge neck, shoulders etc etc..cows and or bulls can both have horns or maybe no horns, it has no bearing on what gender it is. hope this helps

Reply:Ahh no, there diff. types out there. Me and my honey seen one at a zoo with horns at least 5ft. long, and that's just 1 horn.
