The legend supposedly says that some men on a ship tried to kill the porpoise, and it survived. It seemed to know that that ship was bad, so it never guided it again. My geography teacher said that this example might have been one of the first known signs of dolphin, whale, etc intelligence.
What is the name of the porpoise that guided lost ships around Cape Horn in a legend. Is the legend real?
