How can i find out if my Alaskan husky is deaf she never barks but howls at train horns and police sirens?

If she howls at sirens I doubt she's deaf. BUT if you wold be more comfortable dog hearing CAN be tested via a BAER hearing test (some as human infants). THe dalmation club (who have a major deafness problem) has a webpage with places to contact for the test

take her to the vet to find out.
Reply:i have 4 huskys one of them dont bark youres can hear fine if shes howling at sirens
Reply:Call her - if she comes, she's obviously not deaf!
Reply:She isn't deaf. She's a breed that doesn't bark alot. She howls instead.
Reply:try commands or take her to a vet...
Reply:She probably is just not a barker. Unless you can't make a loud, sudden noise and have her not even flinch, I wouldn't be too concerned about deafness.
Reply:Your dog isnt deaf. If its howling a noises (horn %26amp; siren) not the vibration of the train then she can hear. .
