I’ve been watching protests against Michael Vick and the Iraq war on the news and I wonder how do people find time to do this? I have to work everyday and if I wasn’t working, I wouldn’t be standing out in the hot sun waving a poster and yelling against something, even if I did support the cause. Honestly, I have better things to do, but I wonder if these protesters have jobs, do they take off from work to do this? I’ve seen some fly from across the country to protest. Do they pay for the bull horns or elaborate costumes some wear? Is the organization they are for paying for this or is this coming out of their own money?
BTW, don’t assume I’m a Vick or Iraq war supporter. I’m using these as an example to all the protests I’ve seen on TV.
How do protesters find time to protest?
A lot of them come from money or are college students. Most causes that have organisations are able to drum up enough local support to either get representation at protests or set up the protests from the get go. As far as the people who fly, I think they're the hard core cause heads that pay out of pocket.
Reply:They don't work.I think it is a group of street urgents that are hired by the government to stir the pot up, and make it look like someone gives a crap.Really though I have wondered that myself,I hope you find the right answer.Be good,Later!
Reply:I think that some have supporters that donate money to their cause.I feel like you.The longer you look at it,maybe the person is paid to give media something to report.I know that once an actress or actor get out of the lime lite they make news and then they are the rage again. Why can't they just fade out like real stars?Good question,,,I'm working today are you?I feel you.
Reply:They are people that are committed. It is hard for people to understand that someone can be so fired up over a cause that they will sacrifice to do it. Remember the Revolutionary War? They sacrificed all they had to fight for a cause. I give them a LOT of credit!
Reply:I guess you make time when something is that important to you.
Reply:the rent a mob makes a living of protesting.
