How do I replace the horn on my 1990 GMC K-1500?

I have the manual, but can't seem to find a section for the horn.I bought the replcement horn, but it doesn't look like it will fit on or in the steering coloum. Does it go somewhere under the hood?

would help to know if you bought an actual horn that mounts under the hood or are you talking about the horn part that goes on your steering wheel that you push.
