Why does a horn stop working in a car?

All of a sudden our horn stopped working in our 2003 Monte Carlo. Is there any specific reason why a horn stops working? What's going on here? Is there a way to fix it?

Why does a horn stop working in a car?
Well first we need to understand the horn circuit a ground from the horn button activates a relay to power the horn. So it can be the ground at the button on the steering wheel or the relay from there check the wire to the horn. Easiest way get the chiltor check the schematic and apply a ground to the horn relay simulates pressing the horn button if horn sounds the problem is in the steering column if no sound pull the relay and apply power to the terminal going to the horn if it sounds it's the relay if not check the wiring. you should also be able to hear the relay click when the horn button is pressed. hope that helps.
Reply:Most likely a blown fuse.
Reply:Some possible causes are:

blown fuse

broken wire

bad relay

faulty horn switch

bad horn
Reply:Check the horn fuse
Reply:All this mombo-jombo.

It's a blown fuse. I bet the cigarette lighter doesn't work either. Maybe the interior dome light too?

$0.02 fix.
