What does the first beast w/ 10 horns & 2 heads in Revelation symbolize? And the second beast that has 2 horns?

Do different Christian denominations have varying interpretations of these symbolic images from Revelation?

What does the first beast w/ 10 horns %26amp; 2 heads in Revelation symbolize? And the second beast that has 2 horns?
Yes, I have to agree that it has 7 heads.

Revelation 13:1-3

The beast has 7 heads and 10 horns, on his horns were 10 diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names.
Reply:It is an angel.

Like the other one with 4 heads, and the one with 7 heads...
Reply:each is like a deadly sin or something - i can't remember. if you read revelations you'll find it. im not religious but i find it interesting...
Reply:It's 7 heads and 10 horns. It represents degenerate earthly kingdoms controlled by Satan.

The other beast you talk about with 2 horns is a leader who will resurect the first beast that had a deadly wound (the dragon). The second beast is the anti-christ and will instill the mark of the beast (666) on all inhabitants of the earth.
Reply:This is a government system. There is a lot to this. I would recommend the cd’s offered by Kay Arthur, Precept Ministries…on the book of Daniel…it’s one of the best studies I’ve found on this subject. She works the book of Daniel and Revelations together, you won’t be disappointed.

Beast are governments - 10 countries form a legion
