Can I take products made of horn home to the UK from mainland China?

Yes you can bring them back without any problems , i watched a documenrty a few weeks ago %26amp; china %26amp; most of the asian countries buy a lot of the ivory from government sources who have confiscated it from the black market dealers it is taken from them then sold in auctions %26amp; it gets an official government stamp on it . The custom`s are only looking to catch people smuggling pure ivory %26amp; would not confiscate items that have already been made into novelty item`s such as combs etc .....................................

I would guess it depends on the animal the horn was once attached to !

Would suggest you dont, but you could check on the UK website for HM Customs
Reply:Why would you add to the poaching of endangered animals buy paying for something so stupid in the first place? If you have to ask, it MUST be illegal!
Reply:Check with H.M. Customs first.

Better to be safe than sorry.
Reply:You would have to prove to the customs officer what type of HORN it is.

He can confiscate under the endangered species act.
Reply:only If it's in your own pants!

Dont be a D ick!
Reply:My question is why you would want to?

I'll take a guess. Despite what it is or the way it was harvested it really would look good displayed in your house and this vanity alone makes you feel entitled to it.

I'm sure all your friends will be impressed on how some animal was unsensibly slaughtered so you could set a piece of bone on your coffee table.

I wonder why poachers exist?

You ever think of that?
