How long until you can play French horn or flute after getting wisdom teeth pulled?

I'm going to be getting them out; they said it'd a week before you should really do anything. But should you wait longer before playing flute or French horn because of the constant mouth movement/involvement?

How long until you can play French horn or flute after getting wisdom teeth pulled?
I'm a flute performance graduate student and I just had my wisdom teeth removed last month. My oral surgeon said to wait until I was sure the blood had clotted in my sockets and said that waiting a week would be the best. It was a little bit painful when I first started playing, but after two weeks I was completely back to normal. Good luck!
Reply:well does it hurt ? ..if it does then SLOWLY build up ur mucle in ur mouth ...i got braces and it is right b4 marching band season and that it a really bad idea cus i play trumpet and my lips hurt really bad but im playing stuff i first played wen i was just starting out like the cramatics up 2 F flat ...opther wise wait like a week then start playing but don't push ur self until u think ur mouth can handle it !

Reply:ASK YOUR DENTIST FOR SURE, OR TRY IN A WEEK AND SEE HOW YOU DO.
Reply:If you have no complications I would think about two weeks just to be safe. If your having surgery than I would wait a little longer.
Reply:as soon as the swelling gos down and it does not hurt
