Why don't cops have car horns like regular cars?

They do, located in the middle of the steering wheel.


they have sirens that regular cars don't, and when they are wired for the siren a relay is installed that will switch the type of siren when the driver presses the horn. this way they aren't fiddlin' with switches while driving.

What state are you in. In N.C., at leats, they do. U just dont often hear cops use their horn. The horn was not intended for use very often, as many of us Americans love to obuse the purpose of the horn. Cops do have horns. I dont think I've ever heard that they didnt. They just use their sirens over their horn!

Reply:This is because when police on emergencies; they have to have a way for traffic to know they are coming trough without causing a accident. If you ever watch COPS on TV....you would understand why....so Hope this helps

Reply:cops horns are different to stand out. there is hardly anything stock on a police cruiser, and that is for a reason. that is to have the upper hand on stupid people.
