Do horror movies pull out horns?

im a huge horror movie fan, i have OCD and another mental disorder that everythin i watch makes me get to the mood of the character ,and watchin horror movies was a huge phase for me cuz i actually stoped cuz id feel evil and freaky ,not the point that id do what goes on in the movie but id live in the feelings of the character. does anyone without any mental disorder feels the same in watchin any kinda movie? or is it only a disorder thing ?

I get like that too. I think maybe most people do. Like after I watch X-Men or something I feel like I have mutant powers and that I should kick mutant butt haha. So I wouldn't be worried...
Reply:One reason it is fun to watch horror movies is that is makes us to be scared, but then when it is over we find out we did not get hurt, so we feel that we won over danger and fear.

Another way that movies do affect our feelings is that romantic movies make us feel romantic and that is a nice feeling. So we go to the movie for that nice feeling, even if it goes away afterwards. We try to keep thinking about the movie to make the romantic feelings last.

With the horror movie, sometimes it actually takes away the real fears that we have and replaces them with the fears of things the movie is about, like vampires or monsters. Then aftterwards, when the movie is over, we realize that it is not real, only a movie, but if we keep thinking about it, perhaps it can help to keep the real fears away. Or it can make us feel that just as we won and are now safe from the vampires or whatever, we can have confidence that we can overcome our own personal fears.
